The City of San Jose and SimpliGov are among an impressive list of finalists for the 2020 Financial Times Live (FT Live) Intelligent Business Award in the Public Sector category. The winner will be announced during the FT Intelligent Business (virtual) conference later this week. The following is the official list of all finalists this year:
SimpliGov partnered with the City of San Jose to automate business processes and accelerate digital delivery of services for citizens during a critical time for the City and nation. The City was able to automate in record time, without coding.
The City of San Jose was one of the first cities to deploy a digital version of the FEMA 213RR funding reimbursement application from the federal government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. SimpliGov has helped San Jose and a variety of other state and local government agencies manage requests for funding available under the coronavirus-specific CARES Act, scheduled to expire on December 30, 2020.
